The Chamber continues to deliver a wide range of engaging events, from focused roundtable discussions and informative webinars to larger in-person events hosted at Australia House.

We are now well into a new calendar year with 2 months remaining for the 2025/26 financial year and are building out our calendar of events. As a not-for-profit, independent, member organisation, The Australia-UK Chamber is YOUR organisation, and its success - across networking, event delivery, and financial performance - relies directly on your active support. A healthy and financially sound Chamber benefits the entire Australia-UK business community.

Our next event is always one of our most popular, Meet the Members, where networking with colleagues is the focus of the evening.

Onvero | Join Onvero for Inclusion in STEM 2026

Join Onvero on 12 February from 10:00AM to 1:00PM for an in-person networking event, in partnership with the Royal Society of Chemistry.

This inspiring morning will focus on conversation, connection, and action on DEI across STEM fields.

Expect breakfast networking, a fireside chat on the evolution of DEI, expert insights on accessibility, and interactive discussions on widening access to STEM.

Charles Darwin University Australia | Innovative Australian degrees launched in the UK

Charles Darwin University Australia has launched its hyper-flexible postgraduate courses in the United Kingdom, offering UK professionals a new way to access Australian degree education. Designed for those balancing work and personal commitments, the fully online model allows students to start anytime and study at their own pace.

UK residents can now apply for a Master of Business Administration, with specialist streams for educators or executives, or a Master of Cyber Security. Learning will be enhanced through in-person masterclasses at a new CDU UK campus scheduled to open in Spring 2026.

As part of its UK expansion, Charles Darwin University Australia is keen to engage with organisations to explore partnership opportunities, including cohort-based enrolment and commercial arrangements that support scale and long-term collaboration.

Vanessa Ganguin Immigration Law | Changes to UK Routes to Settlement & HPI Visa Updates

The UK government plans to overhaul the five-year route to settlement for most work and family visa holders. Individuals and organisations are invited to respond to the online 'Earned Settlement' Consultation about how this may affect them and those they employ or know.

Some higher-rate taxpayers, public servants, and charity volunteers may still qualify after five years, but others could face significantly longer waits. The consultation is open until 12 February and is anonymous and mostly multiple-choice.

Employers, workers, and families should consider the potential impacts on recruitment, retention, and immigration costs.

The UK’s High Potential Individual (HPI) visa has also expanded its list of qualifying universities going back five years. Graduates from ANU, Monash, Melbourne, UNSW, Queensland, UWA and Sydney universities may now qualify depending on what year they graduated.
