There are several benefits of being a member of the Australia-UK Chamber of Commerce, many of which are obvious:

These organisations share the Chamber's mission to support, facilitate, and strengthen the connection between Australia and the country they operate in. 23rd October| Aurora Education Foundation Reception
In 2010, no First Nations Australian student had ever studied at Oxford or Cambridge. That changed when Aurora Education Foundation launched the Charlie Perkins Scholarship, followed by the Roberta Sykes Scholarship, to support Indigenous students. Nearly 15 years on, 48 Indigenous students have completed postgraduate degrees at Oxford and Cambridge, with 15 more studying at other top UK universities.
Aurora’s CEO, Leila Smith, a Wiradjuri woman and Charlie Perkins Scholar, will share insights on building a future pipeline of Indigenous leaders. Date: Wednesday, October 23, 2024

25th September | Young Professionals Reception with Human Rights Lawyer Jennifer Robinson
The Chamber was excited to host its fourth Young Professionals Reception, bringing together a vibrant group of emerging leaders at Australia House for an evening of inspiration and networking.
The highlight of the night was a captivating conversation between Jennifer Robinson, a renowned Australian human rights lawyer, and Ashlee Mullany.
Jennifer shared her incredible journey from Australia to becoming a leading barrister in the UK, discussing her work on landmark human rights cases, including those involving Julian Assange.

The Chamber was thrilled to host the first-ever ‘Australia Night’ reception at the Labour Party Conference in Liverpool! The event celebrated the vibrant partnership between Australia and the UK, bringing together key leaders from government and business. 29th August | The Skills Shift Roundtable
The Chamber recently hosted The Skills Shift Roundtable, exploring workforce transformation and disruption. It was a lively discussion on how education, industry, and government can work together to tackle the challenges of a shifting workforce.
Mish Eastman, Deputy Vice Chancellor Vocational Education, and Robbie van Dijk, Director Governance & Strategic Initiatives at RMIT University, led the session, which focused on addressing skills shortages, talent retention, and bridging the gap between education and industry.
