MICHAEL --

On behalf of the Australian Labor Party, I want to thank you for your incredible support over the course of this campaign.

Serving as your Prime Minister and the leader of our party is the greatest honour of my life. Every day I am humbled by the knowledge that I’m a part of a movement as broad as this continent. It’s a movement made up of millions of people like you, dedicated to building a society as generous and fair as Australians themselves.

We don’t know the result yet, but what I do know is that we can be incredibly proud of the positive campaign we have run over the past five weeks.

It’s one of the biggest campaigns we’ve ever done. That would have been impossible without the dedication and generosity of Labor supporters like you.

Your financial support has helped us put our ads on TV, hire organisers in key marginal seats, and reach millions of Australians with targeted digital advertising. Across the campaign, you have helped us present a clear choice: between Labor’s plan to build Australia’s future – and Peter Dutton’s promise to cut the things we hold dear.

MICHAEL, Australians have built so much together over the past three years. Because of your hard work, we’re turning the corner.

And if Labor has the great honour of earning the support of Australians tonight, we will devote every single day of the next three years to making this, the best country on earth, even better.

Building a country that creates the opportunities you and your children deserve. A country that draws on the talents and invests in the aspirations of all our citizens.

A country where no-one is held back and no-one is left behind.

So thank you again, from the bottom of my heart. We’ve asked a lot of you over this campaign – and you have answered the call every single time.

I couldn’t be prouder of our party or more grateful to have your support.

Anthony Albanese
