Note from the CEO

One of the great success stories of the Chamber has been our Young Professionals network. Launched in 2023, it has welcomed over 2,000 attendees across more than 12 networking receptions and hosted an inspiring lineup of guest speakers.

This initiative has delivered important benefits, including:

A more inclusive Chamber providing opportunities for people at all career stages
A 'landing pad' for young Australians arriving in the UK to build an early, ongoing network
A forum to listen and learn from extraordinary guest speakers about career and life journeys
An evening to meet new people and develop lasting professional relationships
A chance to develop essential life and business skills through networking

Building on this momentum, we are excited to announce our inaugural Young Professionals Awards Dinner Reception on Thursday 19th November 2026.

This annual initiative will provide a platform to identify and celebrate emerging leaders across industry and community, while reinforcing the Chamber’s commitment to supporting and elevating the next generation of Australia-UK talent.

Bringing together around 150 guests, including young professionals, Chamber members, Australia House representatives, and senior industry leaders, the awards will celebrate outstanding individuals aged 18 - 35 (aligning with the Australia-UK Youth Mobility Scheme) who have broadened their horizons in the UK while contributing to our broader business community.

Invest Northern Ireland member Wrightbus expands into Australia

Chamber member Invest Northern Ireland is pleased to share the news that Wrightbus, the Northern Ireland-based global leader in zero-emission transport, has launched operations in Australia as part of its continued international growth.

Celebrating 80 years of engineering innovation, Wrightbus is bringing its expertise in battery-electric and hydrogen technologies to the Australian market, strengthening business connections across the Asia-Pacific region. To support its expansion, the company has also launched its dedicated APAC website.

Wrightbus will further showcase its zero-emission transport solutions at EuroBus at the NEC and Singapore Urban Mobility Week, both taking place in November.
