With summer holidays in full swing, the Australia-UK Chamber team is taking a well-earned breather and using the quieter period to plan for a busy six months ahead.
One key event on the horizon is the ABIE 50th Anniversary Reception in October (contact our team for further details). As you may know, our Chamber is part of Australia Business in Europe (ABIE) - an umbrella organisation of Australian business groups across Europe. Think of ABIE as a network of Chambers like ours, working to strengthen trade, investment, and diplomatic ties between Australia and Europe. There are currently 14 active organisations participating in ABIE (European Australian Business Council, United Kingdom, Czech, France, Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Belgium, Ireland, Bulgaria, Luxembourg, Austria, Sweden, Switzerland). |

Bureau Booths has evolved - Welcome to Bureau
Before there was Bureau, there were two teams on opposite sides of the world asking the same question: How are people supposed to do deep, meaningful work in environments built for constant interruption?

Vanessa Ganguin Immigration Law | Major Changes to UK Immigration Rules Now in Effect
Key updates to UK immigration rules came into force on 22 July 2025, with significant implications for employers sponsoring Skilled Workers. The skill level threshold has risen, removing 111 roles from eligibility. While existing Skilled Worker visa holders can still extend or switch roles, many roles now fall under a new, limited Temporary Shortage List. Salary thresholds have also increased.
